The Database Administrator at KYNY Group is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing all organizational databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role supports internal teams by ensuring data availability, accuracy, and integrity across all business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS).
Monitor database performance and implement tuning adjustments to improve speed and efficiency.

Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery testing to ensure data protection.

Manage user access, roles, and security permissions to maintain compliance and data privacy.

Troubleshoot database issues, system errors, or performance bottlenecks.

Create and maintain documentation, including schemas, procedures, and configurations.

Collaborate with IT, development, and security teams on database needs and solutions.

Optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures for efficient system performance.

Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patching.

Ensure high availability solutions such as replication, clustering, or failover systems.

Support reporting, analytics, and data extraction needs across departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.

Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).

Experience with backup and recovery tools, replication, and performance tuning.

Understanding of database security practices and compliance standards.

Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.

Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications such as Microsoft SQL Server DBA, Oracle DBA, or AWS/Azure database certifications.

Experience working in an enterprise or multi-database environment.
