Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Under the guidance from the NPO, assist in day-to-day implementation of counter trafficking unit project related to public information campaign on safe migration;
2. Participate in the development and distribution of safe migration awareness raising materials for potential migrants or its family members that emphasize on the risks of people’s smuggling and trafficking in person;
3. Support the roll out information campaign strategy , such as in the form of, but not limited to, offiline socializations to the selected migrant populations in Indonesia, social media campaign, online/digitized Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, and community outreach, on the risks of engaging in irregular migration and migrant smuggling activities;
4. Monitor budget, verify availability of funds, obtain necessary approval and update budget related information and verify all administrative and logistics arrangements for all project activities are carried out efficiently and effectively and that requests for payment due to service providers and local suppliers are accurate and necessary;
5. In consultation with the NPO, draft project workplans, support project development, and assist in the coordination of detailed project implementation outlining clear strategies for the CT unit;
6. Provide input to the NPO to implement the project components and inputs to the progress narrative reports and any other reports and information materials as requested by the NPO and provide inputs to the progress narrative reports and any other reports and information materials as requested by the NPO;
7. Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions;
8. Under the guidance from the NPO, provide assistant in the case of management activity, such as victim identification, needs assessment, and providing the needed assistance of the victim/survivor of trafficking in person,
9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned, including duty travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in political/social sciences, law, international relations or other
relevant field from an accredited academic institution with at least three years of relevant working
experience, or; - Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with at least five years
of relevant working experience.
- Indonesian National with working experience in implementation or development of migration related projects, including designing and delivering training, workshops, and awareness raising sessions to government and non-government stakeholders.
- Professional experience in project implementation and project development to government and non-government stakeholders;
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies, media, and non-governmental organizations.
- Able to manage workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standard practices. Able to work with minimum supervision and maintain composure under pressure;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds;
- Team player and willing to travel to monitor project activities.
- Good knowledge and solid understanding of the migration context in Indonesia and related national/regional framework.
- Strong research and analytical skills would be an asset
- Well versed in written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, including the ability to explain and present technical information; able to draft written documentations in a clear and concise style in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Strong liaison and networking skills with state and non-state actors.
- Strong training experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like (word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail)
OM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
For this position, fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required (oral and written).
