At Welthungerhilfe, we’re reimagining how we work — by moving from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA and building future-ready processes across Finance and Controlling. To make this happen, we’re looking for an SAP FI/CO Consultant to join our Business Solutions team within the Digital Services & Operations Unit.
In this key role, you’ll help shape our financial systems and ensure seamless integration between business and technology. From process optimization to implementation and long-term support, you’ll play a vital part in creating efficient, transparent, and sustainable financial operations.
Want to apply your SAP expertise where it truly makes a difference? Join us and help strengthen our digital foundation and contribute to our efforts to end global hunger.
Your responsibilities
- You analyze, document, and optimize our financial and controlling processes and play a key role in the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
- You review and enhance the existing SAP configuration in FI/CO, implementing necessary adjustments in close coordination with business units and the implementation partner
- You ensure smooth integration of FI/CO processes with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PS, HCM)
- You act as internal coordinator between Finance and IT, and manage collaboration with external service providers
- You organize and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define requirements and design practical SAP solutions
- You participate in testing, data migration, and the setup of the authorization concept for financial processes
- After go-live of our S/4 HANA platform, you serve as the internal subject matter expert and main contact for all FI/CO-related topics
- You monitor and continuously improve system performance, process efficiency, and data integrity throughout the system’s life cycle
- You serve as the internal expert and first point of contact for SAP FI/CO-related issues and continuous improvements and collaborate with business units and external support partners to resolve incidents and implement enhancements
- You prepare training materials, conduct user trainings, and support end users with SAP-related questions
- You evaluate new S/4HANA features introduced through quarterly cloud updates and assess their relevance for Finance and Controlling
Your profile
- You have a degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable qualification
- You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in SAP FI/CO consulting or as an SAP key user; participation in an SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of the SAP FI/CO modules and experience in configuration, process optimization, and cross-module integration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and process consistency
- Ability to communicate effectively with both financial experts and IT professionals
- Structured, goal-oriented, and collaborative working style with strong teamwork skills
- You enjoy working with diverse teams and remain calm and focused in the face of resistance during change processes
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); German is an asset
