Overview of positionThe humanitarian situation in north Gaza remains dire, with ongoing conflicts causing large scale displacement & a significant strain on local infrastructure & services.
UNICEF, in coordination with its partners, is working to address the immediate needs of the needed populations. However, the scale of the crisis necessitates increased logistical, program & administrative support to ensure that UNICEF’s interventions are implemented effectively.
The Program Support Extender's role is essential in this regard, providing logistical, administrative & programmatic support to facilitate program delivery & ensure UNICEF’s work in north Gaza can be scaled up to meet the growing needs of the population.
Support of procurement processes:
Facilitate the issuance of job orders for vendors & obtain price offers for different services within the job order limit.
Prepare & file necessary documents, complete forms, templates & ensure compliance with UNICEF processes.
Support for program activities:
Support the coordination with partners & stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of supplies, including liaising with warehouse teams & transport providers.
Organize & manage logistics for field visits.
Support the required meeting arrangements, take minutes & ensure correspondence is organized & easily accessible.
Provide logistical support for events, workshops & training sessions, including coordinating with vendors, facilitators, participants & arranging for venues.
Keep updated contact lists of partner organizations operating in north Gaza, with key focal persons for each area identified & updated.
Assist in the preparation of materials for meetings, trainings & workshops, including the creation & design of Power Point presentations, Word documents & other required materials.
Support the development of a tracking tool in collaboration with the supervisor & the warehouse team, to monitor supplies received by each partner.
Provide assistance in tracking & following up on supply utilization with partners & support the forecasting of future program supply needs based on current consumption & projected requirements.
Provide any other programmatic support as needed.
Invoice collection & payment for vendors:
Support the collection of invoices & ensure timely processing of payments for vendors in coordination with UNICEF Coordinator & Program Assistants.
Assist with petty cash procurement, ensuring proper documentation & reconciliation in line with UNICEF’s petty cash management guidelines.
The selected staff will be required to provide frequent & ad hoc reports as per the request of the supervisor.
Key competenciesUniversity degree is required in business administration, accounting, engineering, program management or other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience at the national levels in a program support role.
Fluency in English & Arabic is mandatory.
Based & living in the north of Gaza depending on the post.

Further informationUNICEF will process the payment on monthly basis.
The payment will be done based on the submission of summary report contains the achieved results.
