CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Finance Support Service
with a strong focus on Finance, Accounting, expenses analysis and cost reallocation, to work in Financial Planning Unit /Finance under Operation Chapter.
The position is based at CIMMYT’s campus in Texcoco, State of Mexico, and located 45 km northeast of Mexico City, Mexico
Specific duties:
- Provide financial support to Employee and Operation and other Chapters, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Help implement improvement processes in financial day-to-day activities.
- Enter payments requests in the system while ensuring accuracy of account codes, authorizations and completeness of supporting documentation.
- Cost recovery application and prepare journals in accordance with the month end closing calendar.
- To review and make the corresponding adjustments in the system monthly.
- Analysis of internal ICC’s and monitoring of balances according to official chart of accounts (Microsoft Dynamics D365).
- Closing balances to special projects and workshops.
- In charge of getting the support documentation for Corporative Credit Cards.
- In charge of reporting and monitoring credit cards assigned to Operation Chapters staff.
- Analysis of gasoline consumption, Tolls, Telephone expenses.
- Consultants monthly report and monitoring
- Creation and development of Chargebacks monthly reports / Expenses vs Incomes by service type through IA and Power BI.
- Chargeback application for Personal services requested to CIMMYT services units.
- Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with international and other standards and agreements.
- Work closely with different areas through the organization to obtain the necessary information for financial analysis and correct reallocations application.
- Support direct activities of Finance Program Manager and other activities within Financial Planning Unit (FPU).
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance, Accounting, expenses analysis and cost reallocation.
- Knowledge of financial systems, ERP, MS office, databases, data extraction methods, report presentation and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of relevant and timely management information including the use of visual information.
- Strongly developed analytical skills and the ability to identify financial trends.
- Advance in excel skills.
- Reporting with IA and Power BI.
- Ability to work independently, to prioritize and to plan.
- Proactive and flexible, able to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to details.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish, with good written / oral communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with different nationalities, under pressure and as a member of a diverse work team.
