Overview of positionThe Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECR), based in Geneva, is responsible for the effective management, coordination and oversight of client's operations across the region. The ECR region spans the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus, and Türkiye, where client's works with partners to achieve sustainable impact in health, education, environmental management, housing, rule of law, good governance, economic development, and social inclusion. With a wealth of experience in procurement, infrastructure, project and grant management, client's in the region directly implements projects, provides technical advisory services and capacity building to advance the Sustainable Development Goals in support of national governments.
Role objectivesAssessment Support:
Participate in field visits to various mine action stakeholders across Ukraine, as directed by the team leader.
Assist in the collection of data and information related to EOD capabilities, including equipment, training, and operational procedures.
Conduct interviews with relevant personnel from mine action organizations, following guidelines provided by the team leader.
Document observations and findings during field visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
Provide logistical support for field missions, including arranging transportation, accommodation, and communication.
Data Management and Reporting:
Organize and maintain collected data in a structured and accessible format.
Assist in the analysis of data to identify strengths and weaknesses in EOD capabilities.
Prepare summaries of findings and contribute to the drafting of assessment reports, as directed by the team leader.
Ensure that all data and reports are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with established guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain professional and respectful relationships with mine action stakeholders during field visits and interviews.
Represent client's in a positive and professional manner.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather necessary information and address any concerns.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as required by the team leader to support the overall assessment process.
This role reports to the Field Coordinator.
