THE ROLE

The Field Officer II plays a key role in delivering CI’s Child Path Model (CPM) Scale-Up Implementation project, helping children and youth break the cycle of poverty. Working directly in the community, this role leads core skill-building activities, strengthens local partnerships, and coordinates targeted safety-net support so participants can reach key life-stage milestones and move toward sustainable employment. The Field Officer 2 engages closely with children, caregivers, volunteers, and local institutions to bring the Child Path Model to life. 

 WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate and coach Volunteer Club Facilitators to deliver high-quality sessions.
  • Administer Service Delivery Points (SDPs) and ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Implement curriculum and manage club sessions at assigned SDPs.
  • Communicate with participants and families to ensure engagement and provide referrals to safety-net services.
  • Maintain attendance records, collect sponsor relations products, feedback, and onboard new participants.
  • Uphold child safeguarding norms and organizational policies.

In addition to technical requirements, the FO II is expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Build the Team: Select qualified members, make tough decisions when needed, foster trust, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  •       Educational background in a relevant field like social work, community development, education, etc.
  •       At least 5 years of relevant work or volunteer experience in sponsorship-based or community development organizations, with at least one of those years serving as a Field Officer 1 with CI.
  •       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with children, youth, volunteers and colleagues
  •       Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly, and develop innovative solutions.
  •       Intermediate Coaching skills
  •       Strong verbal and written communication in the main local language and relevant local languages
  •       Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) and other CI platforms and IT tools
  •       Demonstrated vision and commitment to supporting social service and/or humanitarian causes

Overall Decision making and Supervision: 

  • Moderately difficult decision-making requiring judgement in resolving issues
  • Monitored on progress-typically reflects the status of task competition
