THE ROLE
The Field Officer II plays a key role in delivering CI’s Child Path Model (CPM) Scale-Up Implementation project, helping children and youth break the cycle of poverty. Working directly in the community, this role leads core skill-building activities, strengthens local partnerships, and coordinates targeted safety-net support so participants can reach key life-stage milestones and move toward sustainable employment. The Field Officer 2 engages closely with children, caregivers, volunteers, and local institutions to bring the Child Path Model to life.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinate and coach Volunteer Club Facilitators to deliver high-quality sessions.
- Administer Service Delivery Points (SDPs) and ensure seamless program delivery.
- Implement curriculum and manage club sessions at assigned SDPs.
- Communicate with participants and families to ensure engagement and provide referrals to safety-net services.
- Maintain attendance records, collect sponsor relations products, feedback, and onboard new participants.
- Uphold child safeguarding norms and organizational policies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Educational background in a relevant field like social work, community development, education, etc.
- At least 5 years of relevant work or volunteer experience in sponsorship-based or community development organizations, with at least one of those years serving as a Field Officer 1 with CI.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with children, youth, volunteers and colleagues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly, and develop innovative solutions.
- Intermediate Coaching skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in the main local language and relevant local languages
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) and other CI platforms and IT tools
- Demonstrated vision and commitment to supporting social service and/or humanitarian causes
Overall Decision making and Supervision:
- Moderately difficult decision-making requiring judgement in resolving issues
- Monitored on progress-typically reflects the status of task competition
