Job Overview/Summary:
In the IT Asset Manager role, you will lead the global IT Asset Management (ITAM) program, ensuring accurate, transparent, and efficient management of IT assets from acquisition to retirement. You will maintain asset records in ServiceNow and ITAM PRO, enforce standards and procedures, and enable data-driven decisions to optimize utilization and reduce costs. This role partners with IT Operations, Endpoint Engineering, Supply Chain, Security, and other teams to ensure processes are auditable, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies. You will also be an integral part of the ITAM implementation and enhancement, working closely with the IT ServiceNow team to drive automation, innovation, and continuous improvement!
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the ITAM strategy to increase asset value and reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Maintain day-to-day IT asset inventory in ServiceNow; triage and resolve asset-related tickets.
- Enforce ITAM standards, SOPs, and policies across global operations in line with ITIL.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT Operations, Global Offices, Supply Chain, Endpoint Engineering, and Security to ensure data integrity and lifecycle consistency.
- Oversee the CMDB and system integrations to ensure reconciliation and normalization processes work effectively.
- Partner with regional IT teams to identify and mitigate risks from non-compliant or end-of-life assets.
- Produce reports and dashboards on key ITAM metrics, such as utilization, compliance, cost savings, and optimization.
- Forecast IT asset needs, support budgeting, and optimize purchasing in collaboration with Supply Chain.

Key Working Relationships:
Internal: IT Operations & Endpoint Engineering, Regional and Country IT Teams, Information Security, ServiceNow Platform Team, Finance & Accounting, Procurement & Supply Chain, Project Management Office (PMO).
External: Vendors and Suppliers (e.g., hardware OEMs and service partners)
Reporting:
This role will be reporting to Director of User Services.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field; ITIL or ITAM certification preferred.
- Over 3-6 years of experience directing programs related to managing IT assets within a global organization.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow (ITAM and CMDB modules) and familiarity with ITAM Pro or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, financial tracking, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze utilization data and deliver actionable insights to optimize asset value.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in ServiceNow, Microsoft Office 365; PowerBi Pro.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and business teams.
- Experience handling vendor relationships and hardware maintenance contracts.
- Demonstrable record of implementing process improvements and automation in ITAM environments.

Working Environment:
- This is hybrid position, some potential travel as needed.
