Overview of positionCTG is looking for a qualified candidate, whose experience matches the below TOR.
Role objectivesInstallation & setup: Perform installation of fuel dispensers, pumps, meters & related equipment at fuel stations or simlar locations where this service will be required, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines & safety regulations & helping with the work of fire pump work.
Maintenance & repair: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance & troubleshooting of fuel dispensing equipment to identify potential issues & maintain optimal performance.
Diagnostics & troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical & electronic issues within fuel dispensers & systems, using specialized tools & testing equipment to determine root causes & implement solutions.
Calibration & adjustment: Calibrate & adjust meters, pumps & other dispensing components to ensure accurate fuel measurement, in line with local regulations & industry standards.
Safety & compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local codes & regulations related to fuel dispensing equipment. Follow best practices for handling hazardous materials & fuel systems.
Documentation & reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service calls, repairs & parts used. Provide detailed reports on completed tasks & identified issues.
The Driver will work under the overall supervision of the Head of the Transport Unit & the direct supervision of the Transport Coordinator.
Key competenciesMinimum of 8 years of experience as a Fuel Dispenser.
Strong knowledge of fuel dispenser mechanics, electronics & hydraulic systems; familiarity with diagnostic tools & calibration procedures.
Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot & resolve complex technical issues independently.
Strong interpersonal & communication skills, ability to work well with customers, team members & management
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in outdoor environments & perform tasks that may require bending, climbing & reaching.
Must be fluent in English French & Kirundi.
This role has no team management responsibility.
