Since 2018, IRC Italia has supported migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers through safety, empowerment, education, and health services. We work with local communities and authorities to strengthen the asylum system and improve humanitarian conditions. Our education programs create safe, inclusive learning environments for children and adolescents, focusing on social-emotional skills, resilience, and participation.

Job Overview

We are looking for an Education Officer, who will deliver engaging education activities for adolescents, promote well-being and social-emotional skills, and support the development of learning resources. You’ll work closely with the Senior Education Officer and Protection & Program Development Manager to ensure inclusive, community-based programming.


Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
•    Facilitate creative, participatory group sessions for adolescents. 
•    Promote social-emotional skills, healthy relationships, and conflict resolution. 
•    Adapt and develop learning materials for diverse cultural contexts. 
•    Document activities, collect feedback, and contribute to reports. 
•    Collaborate with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders for smooth implementation. 
•    Support content creation for communication and advocacy.

Job Requirements:

Education:
•    Degree in education, social sciences, psychology, or related field (or in progress). 
•    2+ years’ experience working with adolescents or vulnerable communities. 
•    Knowledge of inclusive education and child protection. 
•    Strong communication and facilitation skills. 
•    Fluency in Italian and good English; other languages (Arabic, Spanish, French) are a plus. 
•    Organized, adaptable, and culturally sensitive.

Working Environment:
Standard office environment.
