Job Overview/Summary:
The WPE Data Assistant, under the direct supervision of the MEAL Officer, will support the implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation activities for the Women’s Protection and Empowerment Program in Rakhine. He/She will play a key role in ensuring that data collection, data entry and data analysis for the project is undertaken in a timely and efficient way, and one that allows data to be used for program improvement and learning. He/She requires close collaboration with MEAL, WPE program, and field teams to ensure timely and accurate data collection, entry, cleaning, and reporting. The position is based in Sittwe, with regular communication and coordination with field staff. Occasional travel to project sites may be required depending on operational needs.
Major Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Evaluation for IRC direct implementation
- Assist MEAL officer and MEAL Manager to identify data collection requirements and methods for log frame indicators and other information needs.
- Responsible for submitting assigned data entry and reports in accordance with the reporting requirements as well as assisting in internal and external reports
- Assist in preparation of out coming survey or assessment related to project activities, entry data, and assist in data translation as needed.
- Assist in the conduct of regular field visits to undertake activity monitoring (spot checks) and ensure the quality of process and data collected by IRC program staff and to verify the accuracy of reported data
- Conduct regular center assessment to assess the basic quality of IRC women's and girls’ wellness centers.
- Assist in training IRC and partner staff on data management, including data collection methods, use of software (Kobo, Comm Care), recording, analysis, reporting, and data protection and ethics
- Support in identifying and documenting appropriate accountability mechanisms for adoption by program
- Responsible with data management to both internal and partner’s data.
- Any other tasks assigned according to program needs

What should you have?
Education:
- Bachelors ‘Degree in social science or any related field
Work Experience:
- Minimum one or two years of experience in data management in a humanitarian UN/INGO/LNGO context
Competency
- Skilled in using MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience in mapping systems and software i.e.: Kobo, CommCare, Power BI, QGIS is an asset
- Data management skills
- Ability to work systematically, accurately, Independently and under pressure
- Knowledge Women’s Protection and Empowerment Program
- Willingness to travel and work in Internally Displaced Persons camps and rural villages when necessary
Language Skills:
- Working Knowledge of English language is an asset.
- Good Knowledge of Rakhine and Burmese language skills are favorable.

- Any relevant job requirements in this position
