About this position
The Human Resources Department (HRD) is looking for a results-driven, collaborative team member to support the Bank's Health Benefits and Wellbeing programs. The Employee Wellbeing and Medical Benefits Team is responsible for the functioning of the self-funded medical benefit and life insurance programs at the Bank. The Team also develops and implements wellness programs for the IDB Group and includes the operation of the Health Service Center for Headquarters.
You will work in the Human Resources Department (HRD), which is responsible for the administration and development of the IDB Group. The main functions of the Department include managing the entire employee lifecycle, implementing the People Strategy as well as programs that support the IDB's results-based business model. HRD is also dedicated to realizing its mission of delivering human-centered experiences and strategically partnering with professionals passionate about improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. What you’ll do
- Able to manage resources and benefits such as the medical plan, life and accident insurance, Long Term Disability, disabled children, sponsored parents and wellness program. Assist in guiding plan members and able to train and educate them (staff/retires).
- Collaborate with the HRD Insurance Team and with the different administrators of the benefits in solving plan member issues with claims, billing, guarantee of payment, authorizations, and other related queries.
- Focal point of contact for the Health Service Center Call center, identifying process improvement opportunities, creating and updating job aids, and responding to questions.
- Comfortable managing ticketing system through SNOW platform and tracking/ documenting all emails, calls, conversations.
- Developing strong relationships with COF RPAs, Representatives, Staff and Retirees.
- Establishing strong relationships with key Hospitals around the Region.
- Able to support and back up any other HRD insurance team member.
- Able to navigate and manage SAP and all the administrator’s portals.
What you'll need
- Education: Master’s, degree or relevant years of experience to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of relevant experience and demonstrated client management and customer service skills, with the ability to respond promptly, effectively and with good judgement. Analytical, problem-solving, strong communication skills, and organizational skills are necessary. International business environment experience is highly desired. Works with minimal supervision, manages own time effectively, maintains control over all current projects/responsibilities. Follows up on all relevant issues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and partnering skills.
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written is required.
Requirements
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of Guatemala or eligible to obtain a valid residency or legal permit to work in the selected country without the need for sponsorship by the IDB.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
- Modality: The selected candidate might provide services at Guatemala’s IDB Group’s office
Type of contract and duration
National staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
