Overview of positionReporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer supports the financial operations of CTG incountry or in the different countries assigned, ensuring accurate transaction processing, timely reporting, and
compliance with internal procedures and local regulations.
Role objectivesFinancial Operations & Compliance
• Under the applicable client contract or LTA prepare the Call-Off Orders (COOs).
• Support accurate maintenance of cashbooks and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders and reviewing supplier invoices.
• Ensure timely and compliant posting of financial transactions into accounting systems.
Payroll & Statutory Remittances
• Coordinate timely collection of timesheets and payroll inputs.
• Support payroll preparation and ensure accuracy of payslips.
• Prepare and submit schedules for pensions, healthcare, social insurance, and other local statutory
deductions.
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
• Generate and record client invoices in accordance with contracts and COOs.
• Reconcile invoices with payroll and support collection follow-up with the Credit Controller.
• Manage supplier invoices and initiate client reimbursement processes where required.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
• Calculate and process local salary-related taxes and contributions.
• Support preparation of tax returns and ensure timely payments to authorities.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of local tax laws and work with internal teams to ensure compliance.
Banking & Financial Reporting
• Support management of local bank accounts and cash flow planning.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and performance summaries.
• Provide analytical inputs for local expenditure, budget tracking, and audits.
Project reportingThis role reports to the Finance Manager
Key competencies• Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
qualification (full or part-qualified).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience with payroll processing, invoice management,
and accounts payable/receivable, ideally in an international context. Regional experience in humanitarian
or government sectors is an asset.
• Languages: Fluent in English.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and
advanced Excel skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, payroll and financial regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ethical, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Team managementThis role has no team management requirements
