Overview of positionThe Finance Assistant supports CTG’s financial operations by ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and timely reporting across core areas.
Role objectivesProcess supplier invoices, ensure proper documentation, and track payments.
Generate and reconcile client invoices with COOs and payroll; record in Sage.
Support timely client payments and follow-up on overdue receivables with the Credit Controller.
Resolve invoice-related queries.
Support timely payroll for CTG consultants and staff. Prepare schedules for remittances (e.g.,
pensions, housing, healthcare) when applicable.Reconcile payroll data with contracts and tax regulations; issue payslips.
Calculate and process PIT, social security, and other local taxes when applicable. Ensure timely tax
payments, filings, and support during audits.Coordinate with legal and may represent CTG with local tax authorities.
Manage cash transactions, prepare bank reconciliations, and post to Sage.
Assist with bank account oversight and cash request planning.
Support data collection for budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance analysis.
Prepare summary financial reports and assist with audits.
Ensure accurate data entry in financial systems; propose process improvements.
Maintain financial documentation and support other departments as needed.
This role reports to the Country Manager
Key competenciesEducation: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience with payroll processing, invoice management,
and accounts payable/receivable, ideally in an international context.Languages: Fluent in English.
Software Proficiency: Experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with tax compliance and basic financial reporting.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Ethical, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
This role has no team management requirements.
