Job Description
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Resources Management and direct supervision of the Senior Supply Chain Associate, the incumbent will assist with warehouse functions supporting IOM programming in Legazpi City in line with IOM policies, standards, and procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist the day-to-day management of the warehouse by receiving the goods, updating the warehouse records in the database, and dispatching the goods for operations in Legazpi City.
Receive goods from vendors and transporters and inspect the quantity/quality to verify compliance with the specifications and standards ordered.
Assist in monitoring loading, and offloading activities at the warehouse when required, including supporting hired labour during these activities to confirm tasks are properly completed.
Issue Receiving Report Forms/Goods Receive Notes for newly arrived items and issue Stock Release Authorization Form/Waybills when releasing items from the warehouse.
Receive documents with proper authorization and approval from the designated officer for the release or issuance of warehouse items to authorized individuals or units within the mission.
Assist in conducting physical stock inventories of warehouse items and update inventory records upon completing of each activity.
Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the warehouse facility, including supporting proper stacking and storage of goods, and updating the stock cards where necessary.
In accordance with the IOM Warehouse Manual, assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining security and safety measures within the warehouse premises, in coordination with the Security unit.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration and Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two years of relevant professional experience; or
- High School diploma with four years of relevant professional work experience.
Experience working with International Organizations is an advantage
Good level of computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Windows / MS Office applications
Completion of professional course (s) in Warehouse Management is an added value
Experience in the usage of Microsoft Office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis.
Experience in logistics, supply management, and warehousing.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints; accurate and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of supply management, logistics and warehousing and product quality control.
For this position, fluency in English and Filipino is required (oral and written).
