About the position


The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT is looking for a highly skilled Consultant to support the climate action teams in Data and Marketing area.

The Consultant will play a pivotal role in the following areas:

•Create interaction guide to build trust with agribusiness partners

•Formalize ‘softer’ elements of partner selection rubric, like openness, honesty and how willing the partner is to collaborate


Key duties & responsibilities


·Competitor analysis for the EMBE data product - Report comparing the client's products/services with competitors, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

·Customer segmentation analysis - segmentation the target market based on demographic, psychographic, or behavioral characteristics to help clients better understand their customer base

·Product feasibility study - Assessments of the viability and potential success of a particular business venture or marketing strategy.

·Strategic recommendation deck based on market demand estimation.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing

·Experience in corporate marketing strategy and implementation in Kenya

·At least 7 years of experience in marketing strategy, marketing analytics or market research in Africa.

·Preference for experience in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and/or Uganda
