Duties and Responsibilities
The UNODC Global Integrated (e)Learning and innovation Programme strengthens the capacity of Member States to better address diverse human security and health challenges such as wildlife crime, human trafficking, drug abuse, HIV, gender-based violence, as well as promoting justice, human rights and international cooperation. Our training courses are designed to address challenges and safeguard populations, especially the most vulnerable persons, and are delivered online and offline across the world in line with the United Nations standards and norms and other relevant international instruments. The Programme supports the implementation of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development “a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity that seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom” with over 900 eLearning modules delivered as standalone or integrated into broader courses on a range of law enforcement, criminal justice reform and heath topics. The Programme contributes especially to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Partnerships). The Programme produces eLearning ‘modules’ to be delivered through its online and offline Learning Management System. A module is produced in several steps, namely: 1. Development of the content in English following a storyboard/script; 2. Translation of the script into a specific target language; 3. Audio-recording of the script by different speakers (“Talents”); 4. Merging the different components together.
