Core mission The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, is Europe's leading research facility for scientific research using neutrons. Every year, we host over 2000 visits by scientists, who come to the Institute to carry out world-class research. The successful candidate will join the Mechanical Engineering Service, which is part of the ILL’s Reactor Division and is responsible for the maintenance of equipment associated with the high-flux reactor. S/he will report directly to the Head of Service. In the context of the manufacture of spare components (primarily beam tubes) for the reactor block, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring several manufacturing projects and will work under the supervision of a senior ILL engineer, who is in charge of mechanical manufacturing projects and is the Institute’s expert on nuclear pressure equipment (referred to as ESPN - Equipements Sous Pression Nucléaires). This position may evolve into a project manager role (reactor modification projects). Your tasks
