2026 Graduate Internship Programme -Cyber Operations Analyst
The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is looking for recent graduates to join our 2026 Graduate Internship Programme. This programme will allow you to use the knowledge you gained during your studies in a professional environment. Programme duration: 7 – 11 months
Programme location: Basel, Switzerland
Programme start date: From May 2026 onwards
Purpose of the Role
As aCyber Operations Analyst, you will support the Bank’s Cybersecurity Operations services, including Incident Response and Vulnerability Management. You will alsohave the opportunity toactively contribute to the Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) project,assistingin its development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Incident Response
Assistinidentifyingandanalyzingsecurity incidents.
Participate in incident investigation and containment efforts.
Vulnerability Management
Analyzescan results toidentifypotential security weaknesses.
Assistin prioritizing and remediating identified vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related disciplinewith agraduation dateof2025 or 2026
Theoretical and Technical Knowledge: Understanding of security domains at both levels, and a strong commitment to continuous education and technical learning.
Programming and Scripting: Familiarity with languages such as PowerShell, Python, C#, Go, or Java.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Teamwork and Independence: A team player who also works effectively with technical autonomy.
What we offer:
We offera 11-month contract with amonthly allowance of 3800 CHF plus health and accident insurance coverage for the duration of the contract.Additionalbenefits depend on your principal domicile.
