What will you do in this position?
Lead Supply Chain Information Management activities for the Gaza Response, providing integrated analytics and data analysis to support operational decision making. Support supply chain activities, information exchange and coordination within WFP Supply Chain and with external and inter-agency supply chain stakeholders, to enhance operational coherence, shared situational awareness and effective delivery of food assistance and services. This position reports to the Head of Supply Chain and is based in Jerusalem.

WFP provides logistics support to humanitarian and development partners, allowing them to reach more people faster, and at a lower cost to donors and the environment. How can you make a difference?
Steer the supply chain information management activities for the Gaza Response including preparation of accurate and timely reports, dashboards and other visual materials on supply chain activities to contribute to informed decision-making and consistency of information presented to the stakeholders.
Act as a central integrator across Supply Chain sub-units, linking information, data, processes and operational inputs to ensure cross-functional coordination, coherence, alignment and smooth end-to-end operational functioning of supply chain activities.
Lead the collection and analysis of relevant data and context analyses in close cooperation with relevant supply chain units and put together reports to support the identification of opportunities for improvement and effective operationalization of supply chain as well as addressing operational supply chain challenges.
Manage the establishment and maintaining of information sharing mechanisms and systems; documentation formats, assessment formats, central file store, operations archive, reporting systems.
In close cooperation with relevant functions, manage the generation or facilitation of the production of supply chain content for use across a range of WFP online platforms, ensuring consistency with corporate messages.
Ensure that accurate, consistent information, in line with standards and templates is made available on different platforms and channels, through focused communications materials, and in standardized and/or ad-hoc reports.
Fortify the development and implementation of supply chain plans and procedures, in line with the global WFP supply chain strategy and regional/functional strategies, policies and plans, to achieve operational cost efficiency, agility, reliability, quality and to support national capacity strengthening.
Contribute to country context analyses and management of end-to-end operational supply chain and retail networks, in order to support addressing operational supply chain challenges and obtaining operational optimization.
Strengthen the implementation of supply chain operations, initiatives and services to ensure a timely, cost-effective and integrated approach with core activities and services.
Collect and analyze data and put together reports highlighting opportunities for improvement and effective operationalization of supply chain within the area of responsibility.
Conduct financial analysis and budget reviews, drawing out key data for reporting purposes as well as recommendations for maximizing use of resources and effectiveness of supply chain operations.
Support effective coordination at the operational level and collaboration with counterparts in the key supply chain functions contributing to an integrated supply chain approach to food assistance and cross-functional operational alignment.
Contribute to market analysis and supply chain network mapping, to support wider analytics on the selection of an appropriate operation modalities to improve supply chain performance.
Collaborate on supply chain projects or operational day-to-day activities in compliance with the established supply chain strategies, policies, procedures and controls, and following corporate standards, contributing to quality control, loss prevention, risk mitigation and cost effectiveness.
Support monitoring supply chain activities, ensuring appropriate internal controls are followed to increase the day-to-day efficiencies and overall performance of supply chain operations.
Reinforce management of service providers/vendors, port, fleet and warehouse operations to promote safe, efficient planning and execution of WFP operations.
Provide guidance and support to staff, acting as a point of referral and supporting them with analysis and queries.
Contribute to preparedness actions and support quick emergency response to deploy food and resources at the onset of the crisis.

To join us in saving lives, changing lives, you will have:
Minimum 5 years of postgraduate professional working experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Management, Data Analytics or other relevant fields.
Experience in analyzing operational context and trends is required.
Experience in an international context with responsibility in information management, and/or project proposal/reporting roles is highly desirable.
Experience with reporting/tracking systems is highly desirable.
Experience in supporting analytical and conceptual work on supply chain strategy and implementation is desirable.
Experience in designing plans and operational systems in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders is desirable.
Education: Advanced University degree preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Law, Business Administration, Logistics, or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of Arabic is an asset.
