Programme Associate
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technical Programme Support
• Support the implementation of IUCN Myanmar country programme, including ecosystem and species conservation, natural resource management, policy advocacy, and governance.
• Assist in coordinating field-based activities with local communities, partner organizations, and stakeholders, ensuring inclusive, participatory, and culturally appropriate engagement.
• Support the collection, validation, and organization of field data, activity outputs, and technical documentation for monitoring, learning, and reporting purposes.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, progress updates, case studies, success stories, and lessons learned.
• Assist in providing technical and administrative support for grant management, including tracking grantee activities, reviewing deliverables, maintaining documentation, and supporting compliance with agreed workplans.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among CBOs, CSOs, local partners, and IUCN teams, ensuring timely information flow and proper documentation of key decisions.
• Support integration of gender equality, social inclusion, and environmental and social safeguards into project activities, including community consultations and documentation.
• Participate in trainings, internal coordination meetings, and learning events to strengthen programme implementation and professional capacity.
• Assist in preparation of presentations, technical documents, and reports for stakeholders and donors.
2. Administrative and Logistical Support
• Coordinate closely with the Head of Office and HR Manager of LMS on all HR and administrative matters, including consultancies, procurement, and travel arrangements.
• Support procurement of goods and services for programmes/projects implemented by the Myanmar Country Office, in accordance with IUCN policies and procedures.
• Handle logistical arrangements for workshops, meetings, exchange visits, and travels (hotel bookings, flights, local transport, meals, invitations, disbursements).
• Administer petty cash and ensure monthly submission of expense claims in NAV.
• Advise and assist staff and consultants in the preparation of allowances and travel claims.
• Provide supervision and monitoring of Fixed Assets and the inventory system maintained by IUCN Myanmar Country Office.
• Translate and interpret between Myanmar, English, and other relevant languages as required.
3. Coordination and Communication
• Assist Programme Officers in internal coordination across programmes, ensuring effective workflow and follow-up on action points.
• Support meetings, workshops, joint field missions, and information exchange among stakeholders.
• Prepare communication materials, collect photos and video clips, and contribute to web stories, social media content, articles, and other publications to highlight project results.
• Maintain up-to-date internal files, templates, and project documentation for easy access and retrieval.
• Update project data and relevant information on IUCN’s project portal with guidance from Programme/Project Managers.
Other Duties
• Carry out any other duties as may be required by the Head of Office or supervisor from time to time.
