JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for monitoring client settlements (repayments), following up with clients to ensure timely settlements, booking settlements once received and reporting on overdues.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare and communicate settlement (repayment) schedules to the clients.
- Monitor upcoming dues for all the clients.
- Monitor client settlements and book them in the system once they are credited into ITFC’s Nostro account.
- Follow up with clients in case of overdues in accordance with internal procedures.
- Coordinate with Relationship Managers (RMs) to support timely collections and client engagement.
- Support with the execution of remedial actions for overdues based on management recommendations of the relevant authority.
- Highlight early warning signals and alerts for country / facility suspension
- Issue invoices related to fees and charges and monitor receipt of the same from clients
- Respond to any queries for information pertaining to dues and overdues.
- Participate in department level initiatives/ projects in order to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department
- Support automation, system enhancements, and control strengthening initiatives.
- Maintain a standard understanding about policies, procedures, and best practices of ITFC and external market
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the management of the department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Trade Finance (preferred), Banking or Financial Services
SKILLS & NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE
- English is Compulsory
- Arabic or French is highly preferred
