NIB is seeking a CONTROLLER to join the Accounting Unit in Helsinki. The position will at this point be a fixed-term, one year contract.
The unit currently consists of 13 employees and is responsible for managing NIB’s financial controlling as well as internal and external financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner. We have strategic transformation initiatives ongoing, including replacing our ERP system as part of our ongoing digitalisation journey. This role gives a good platform for influencing and optimising the processes around NIB’s accounting and reporting activities.
Main responsibilities
- Support the project team, colleagues in the accounting team, and stakeholders in the ERP system implementation.
- Contribute to the development of accounting and reporting related activities, automate and streamline processes and tasks where possible.
- Be a key person in our monthly, interim and annual reporting.
- Act as a subject matter expert in areas allocated to the position.
- Perform recurring and ad hoc external and internal reporting related activities.
Required qualifications
- A few years professional experience in accounting, auditing, and/or reporting development.
- Strong analytical and technical competences; Power BI and SQL competence would be an advantage.
- Strong interest in process development as well as having the drive to keep your own competences up to date and contribute to the team’s way of working.
- Understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards.
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite, both spoken and written; proficiency in one of the NIB member country languages is an advantage.
- Strong collaborative and team-working skills combined with a proactive working style.
- Curiosity to learn new things and having a change mindset.
