The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Finance Officer Grants.
Under the supervision of the Head of Finance - Grants, the Finance Officer - Grants will provide effective management of grants and financial management within the Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) project, funded by KFW and the European Union. This includes overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, grants management, disbursement, and grants reconciliation to ensure the successful implementation of SIFA objectives.

Education and Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field with two (2) years of relevant work experience in a busy finance office responsible for accounting, grants and financial management within a development finance institution, international or multinational organisation. Experience in working within a non-profit environment and knowledge of non-profit accounting principles is an advantage.

a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field with four (4) years of relevant work experience in a busy finance office responsible for accounting, grants and financial management within a development finance institution, international or multinational organisation. Experience in working within a non-profit environment and knowledge of non-profit accounting principles is an advantage.
- A professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Experience in budget management , grants management, financial reporting, accounting, and audit in international organisation, public or private sector is required.
- Working experience in SAP or a similar ERP is required, and advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Practical experience in managing international development partner funds is a requirement.

Remuneration:
Indicative basic salary of US$35,044.83 per annum plus other entitlements e.g., Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($21,832.88 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
