RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Information Management

•         Enter all client’s registration info, activity and program related data in a timely and accurate manner using approved databases and data collection tools, and cross check data with hard tools and correct errors, as needed

•         Report and clear any logical error or missing data

•         Maintain and test databases, correct errors, clean up data and make necessary modifications.

•         Ensure that forms, data collection tools, databases, and records comply with international and IRC standards of working with children and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality; ensure data security

•         Develop and manage filing system for child protection reports and records

•         Produce statistical reports using the database that is being used (Excel etc.) on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis (Statistical & Graphical)

•         Timely update and adjust existing data collection tools, according to program needs .

•         Modify existing and set-up new data tracking sheets and databases as needed to document and record protection program activities, under the guidance of the protection Manager and protection officer

•         Conduct training, orientations and ongoing support on the use of data collection tools and systems for program staff.

•         Ensure compliance with IRC IT security procedures and measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.

•         Translate the information received from the field into English. Adapt language from standardized tools into local languages.

 

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL)

•         Support the Protection Manager and MEAL Coordinator to implement regular monitoring and evaluation activities for the CP program.

•         Regularly monitor and analyze data and work closely with program officers, managers and coordinators to facilitate decision-making for real-time program adaptation

•         Document and share learning, evidence, and data from previous projects / activities to inform project activities and proposal design

•         Produce quality reports and updating dashboards with key findings that foster learning and decision-making and share in project cycle management meetings and team meetings

•         Identify, document, and share client feedback to improve services and results for our clients.

•         Contribute to IRC’s effort in meeting its internal and external accountability commitments through the implementation of sound accountability, client feedback, and response mechanisms. 

•         Support deployment of surveys such as baseline and endline, and the commission of evaluations in coordination with colleagues and partners

•         Support the use of standard mobile data technology and online dashboard to enhance timeliness and quality of data collection, analysis and visualization;

 

Other: 

•         Attend training organized by the IRC.

•         Stay informed about the child protection situation and developments within the communities and surrounding areas.

•         Consistently and proactively monitor the safety and security of field teams, promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.

•         Promote and adhere to the principles, objectives and code of conduct of the IRC.

•         Act both professionally and personally in a manner that brings credit to the IRC and does not compromise its humanitarian mission.

•         If necessary, provide translation and interpretation at meetings, training sessions and/or documents for a better understanding of all staff.

•         Assist identifying new implementing partners and arrange meetings with partners to discuss their implementation program when necessary.

•         Conduct any other task requested by his/her supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs

 

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Other internal contacts: WPE, MEAL, Finance, Supply, HR, and other relevant departments (e.g. WASH, Nutrition, ECD)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

•         BA or equivalent in Data management, IT, Administration.

•         At least 2-3 years’ experience in managing data and field monitoring, INGO/NGO work.

•         Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, including creating tables and forms, data analysis, using pivot tables, and charting/visualizing data in dashboard format.

•         Good reporting skills using Excel and extracting information from the master database and running reports

•         Experience developing and managing databases and conducting statistical analysis and reporting

•         Knowledge of and experience with data collection tools (e.g. Excel, Kobo Toolbox)

•         Experience in conducting primary quantitative data collection and data entry

•         Possess basic technical knowledge of M&E approaches and techniques in some or all of the following areas: Data collection, basic data analysis, accountability, client feedback mechanisms.

•         Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills

•         Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients/beneficiaries

•         Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting

•         High degree of flexibility and strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure.

•         Excellent computed skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

•         Available to travel within Gaza

•         Good in English language.
