Context
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Procurement Officer and direct supervision of the Head, Information Management and Business Analytics Unit, and in close collaboration with the Manila Supply Chain Unit (MSCU) and in coordination with the relevant units at SCM Center in Thessaloniki, the Supply Chain Associate (Information Management and Reporting) will provide support to ongoing initiatives and projects in the Supply Chan Division related to Information Management and Reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of routine and ad-hoc reports, analyses, and visualizations to support global supply chain operations and reporting activities.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and dashboards in Oracle Analytics, Power BI, and other systems, as needed, to support tracking of International Organization for Migration (IOM) supply chain performance indicators.
- Assist in global spend analysis activities and data management initiatives relevant to Supply Chain Division.
- Assist in maintaining datasets, extracted from ERP (Oracle) and related databases, including updating metadata, backup files and process documentation.
- Support on preparation of data queries for internal use as require, and generate one-time data extracts from databases as requested.
- Assist with the preparation of written reports, newsletters, outreach presentations, and communication materials.
- Assist in maintaining internal and external communication channels such as SharePoint sites of SCD and the SCD page on the IOM website.
- Assist in the use and maintenance of information management systems in accordance with Information Technology and Communication (ITC) standards and provide first-level user support for Supply Chain Division.
- Perform such other duties as maybe assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- University degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or,
- Completed High school / Secondary school education with five years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in the use of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Bi, Share Point, SQL Server etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and routine data analysis;
- Experience supporting reporting activities, data compilation or information management processes; and,
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle).
Skills
- Ability to compile and organize data with accuracy and attention to detail;
- Basic knowledge of data visualization and report formatting;
- Proficiency in common computer software applications; and,
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and data management practices.
Languages:
IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
For this position, fluency in English and Greek is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
