➡️ Duration: 12 months (renewable)

What will you do in this position? 

In responding to information needs and ensuring an evidence‑based M&E function in WFP, this role will support the planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities related to the effectiveness and impact of WFP’s activities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit the job holder will:

  • Support and assist in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities under WFP’s Country Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with broader M&E policies and guidelines.
  • Contribute to strengthening WFP’s capacity to demonstrate outcome-focused results.
  • Prepare reports and conduct data analysis, ensuring deliverables meet corporate standards and quality requirements, with accurate and timely data recording and consistency in information presented to stakeholders.
  • Provide support in the analysis monitoring data collected throughout different phases of programme implementation, focusing on impact indicators in line with WFP’s corporate standards.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, develop visualizations, and prepare summary and detailed reports in accordance with corporate reporting standards.
  • Support data collection exercises, including designing tools and sampling plans, coordinating with field staff, and managing data collection schedules.
  • Coordinate M&E activities with WFP’s partners as required.
  • Provide inputs and update baseline and target values for indicators based on WFP’s M&E framework.
  • Deliver any other M&E support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

EDUCATION:  

Completion of secondary school education. A bachelor’s degree in: Social Sciences, Social Development, Economics, statistics, or Performance Management, or another relevant field is desirable.

Experience :

A minimum of six years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation roles. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Research experience using variety of analytical tools and methods for causality analysis, forecasting, and other data modeling needs is mandatory. 
  • Strong analysis capabilities and report writing skills including undertaking statistical analysis is mandatory.
  • Experience in technical report writing and research activities is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power-point, etc.) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Adobe illustrator or any other similar tools is desirable. 
  • Proficiency in any of the statistical software, i.e. SPSS, Stata, etc…) is desirable
  • Sound teamwork competencies are essential is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills is desirable.

LANGUAGES: Fluency (level C) in English and Arabic languages.
