Esta vaga tem como objetivo identificar um grupo de candidatos a Project Management Support Senior Associate para projetos existentes e futuros no Brasil.
PORTFÓLIO ATUAL: O portfólio do Brasil atualmente implementa 17 projetos – 13 projetos de infraestrutura que variam de baixa, média e alta complexidade, bem como 4 projetos que gerenciam logística para ajuda humanitária, iniciativas de desenvolvimento social e parcerias público-privadas. Os projetos existentes incluem a prestação de apoio ao Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação na finalização da construção de escolas para comunidades indígenas e tradicionais; a gestão da implementação da compensação por dano moral coletivo para bairros afetados por subsidência de mineração em Maceió; o apoio ao Ministério das Cidades na elaboração de 120 planos municipais de redução de risco de desastres (apenas consultoria); e a conclusão da Etapa 1 do Campus da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA) em Foz do Iguaçu; entre outros. Esses projetos, e outros semelhantes no pipeline, são implementados em estreita colaboração com o doador e/ou beneficiários, e variam em complexidade, escopo e valor, de US$ 4 milhões a US$ 150 milhões.
PIPELINE – INSTALAÇÕES INSTITUCIONAIS: O pipeline atual inclui oportunidades para gerenciar o design e/ou a construção e supervisão de instalações institucionais — como edifícios de escritórios públicos, hospital, museu, escolas e projetos de água e saneamento — localizadas em Brasília, Foz do Iguaçu, São Paulo, Pará e outras localidades em todo o Brasil.

This vacancy aims to identify a pool of Project Management Support Senior Associate candidates for existing and future projects in Brazil.
CURRENT PORTFOLIO: The Brazil portfolio currently implements 17 projects - 13 infrastructure projects ranging from low, medium and high complexity, as well as 4 projects that manage logistics for humanitarian aid, social development initiatives, and private-public partnerships. Existing projects include the provision of support to the National Education Development Fund in finalizing the construction of schools for indigenous and traditional communities; Managing the implementation of collective moral damage compensation for neighborhoods affected by mining subsidence in Maceio, supporting the Ministry of Cities in preparing 120 municipal disaster risk reduction plans(advisory only); and concluding Stage 1 of the Campus of the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA) in Foz do Iguaçu; among others. These Projects, and others similar in pipeline, are implemented in close collaboration with the donor and/or beneficiaries, and range in complexity, scope and price from $4 million to $150 million.
PIPELINE - INSTITUTIONAL FACILITIES: The current pipeline includes opportunities to manage the design, and/or construction and supervision of institutional facilities—such as public office buildings, hospital, museum, schools, and water and sanitation projects —located in Brasília, Foz do Iguaçu, São Paulo, Pará, and other locations across Brazil.

About the Country/Multi-Country Office
Based in Brazil, the UNOPS Southern Cone Multi-Country Office (SCMCO) also oversees operations in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, supporting national priorities and development goals across the subregion. In Argentina, UNOPS strengthens public institutions by providing technical assistance in planning, procurement, and oversight of infrastructure projects—particularly in public buildings—and building capacity in public procurement, with a focus on technological innovation. In Brazil, where UNOPS has operated since 2012, the office collaborates with UN agencies, financial institutions, and government bodies at all levels to deliver services in health, education, urbanization, social rehabilitation, PPPs, and institutional strengthening. UNOPS has played a key role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and currently manages 17 active projects across the country. Its work emphasizes transparency, operational efficiency, and results-driven management while aligning with the strategic and operational needs of its partners. Across the Southern Cone, UNOPS promotes sustainable development by enhancing national capabilities and supporting the delivery of high-impact, inclusive infrastructure.
