NORCAP’s partnership with Mercy Corps strengthens shared ambitions to expand renewable energy access, support green recovery, and reinforce local climate resilience efforts across Ukraine. Mercy Corps’ work spans urgent humanitarian assistance and longterm recovery efforts, particularly in decentralised energy and marketdriven climate solutions.

To support this work, we are seeking an Innovative Climate Finance Expert based in Kyiv, Ukraine from July to December 2026, (with possibility of extension), with up to 20% travel in-country.

The Innovative Climate Finance Expert will report to the Mercy Corps Ukraine Director of Programmes.

The Innovative Climate Finance Expert will help drive Ukraine’s green recovery by designing and advancing innovative climate finance solutions, while building partnerships with donors, Development Finance Institutions, and private sector actors. The role also strengthens programme quality, strategic positioning, and coordination across wider climate and energy initiatives.
