Responsibilities

  1. Assist the National Project Officer (CCCM) in the day-to-day operational, administrative and financial follow-up of CCCM project activities within the assigned region, including tracking implementation progress and monitoring project activities.

  2. Support the National Project Officer (CCCM) in monitoring project implementation against workplans, timelines, and budgets by compiling updates, reviewing activity reports and following up with field teams on pending actions and reporting deadlines, in accordance with IOM's policies and procedures, global standards and best practices as well as donor requirements.

  3. Provide coordination support to the National Project Officer (CCCM) by liaising with local municipalities and other counterparts facilitating information exchange and contributing to alignment of CCCM activities with national and municipal plans.

  4. Report to the National Project Officer (CCCM) any needs and gaps identified in the field, including challenges in the project implementation and propose follow-up actions. 

  5. Assist in monitoring compliance with donor visibility requirements by supporting the preparation of visibility materials and human-interest stories in coordination with field teams and the Communications team.

  6. Provide operational support to field teams in daily implementation and monitoring of project activities related to IOM CCCM project, including follow-up on administrative and reporting requirements.

  7. Provide support to field teams in conducting field visits to collective centres, by gathering information on site conditions, displaced populations’ needs and sectoral gaps, including participation in discussions with site management and community representatives.

  8. Provide support through preparation of inputs and logistical follow-up related to coordination meetings or forums, as requested. 

  9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma with at least six years of relevant work experience; or 

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of professional experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience supporting Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) or similar humanitarian operations is highly desirable.

  • Experience in assisting with multi-sectoral humanitarian activities, including community outreach, service monitoring or distribution.

  • Experience working with a non-governmental organization and/or international organization is an advantage.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of project implementation and reporting processes, 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft software such as Excel and PowerPoint and other software such as SPSS, KoBo toolbox, DropBox, etc.

Languages

For this position, fluency in English and Ukrainian is required.
