The purpose of the Shelter/WASH Officer (CCCM) – Yemen Amran Area position is to ensure the qualitative implementation of NRC’s Shelter and WASH programme in targeted displacement sites, while maintaining safe, inclusive, and accountable camp management practices. The role is fully aligned with NRC’s operational and technical management priorities. At the field-operational level, the Officer provides essential support to both colleagues and local partners by overseeing day-to-day site management functions. A critical aspect of the role is the supervision, monitoring, and mentoring of local implementing partners, ensuring that they deliver services effectively, uphold humanitarian standards, and apply NRC’s accountability and protection principles. While not a senior technical lead, the officer plays a pivotal role in bridging community needs with organizational and donor requirements, reinforcing NRC’s responsiveness, program quality, and coordination in northern Yemen’s displacement sites.
