Overview of the position:
Hours: Full-time (100%)

Duration: 30.09.2027

Salary: According to TVöD Bund, pay grade E10
Location: Berlin, Germany
Department & reporting line: Finance & Administration / Head of Unit Finance Management

·        Develop and review project budgets in line with donor regulations

·        Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance

·        Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

·        Support project managers on the financial planning of project activities and donor financial requirements

·        Identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with projects

·        Provide advice on contracts with project partners and service providers

·        Review and approve invoices, travel expense, partners’ financial reports and payments, including required supporting documentation.

·        Support the preparation of annual financial statements.

 

Your knowledge, experience & skills

·        University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or auditing.

·        At least 3 year’s experience in financial management of donor-funded projects

·        Knowledge of donor funding regulations (e.g. German Federal Foreign Office, European Commission)

·        Good understanding of procurement and funding processes

·        Experience in auditing is an advantage

·        Advanced Excel skills

·        Fluent English; German at least B1 (written and spoken)

·        Independent working style, strong ownership, and strong communication skills.
