We are seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Specialist to lead the production of high-impact audiovisual content that communicates scientific research, institutional initiatives, and global impact stories. This role is central to strengthening brand positioning, enhancing digital visibility, and translating complex technical information into compelling visual narratives.
The Multimedia Specialist will manage the full multimedia production cycle, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring technical excellence, strategic alignment, and compliance with institutional brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production
· Plan, film, and edit professional videos showcasing research projects, scientific initiatives, field activities, and institutional milestones.
· Conduct interviews, capture high-quality footage, and record professional-grade audio.
· Lead pre-production processes, including scripting, storyboarding, logistics planning, and creative direction.
· Execute post-production editing using industry-standard software, ensuring strong narrative structure, pacing, sound design, and visual consistency.
· Integrate motion graphics, animations, subtitles, and visual enhancements to elevate storytelling quality.
· Adapt content into multiple formats, including horizontal and vertical outputs for diverse digital platforms.
· Manage and maintain audiovisual equipment, including cameras, lighting systems, and audio devices.
Photography
· Capture high-quality photographs that document research activities, events, partnerships, and key personnel.
· Apply advanced lighting techniques and composition principles to produce visually compelling imagery.
· Edit and retouch photographs to ensure professional standards and alignment with brand guidelines.
· Organize and maintain a structured visual asset library, including metadata, captions, and usage documentation for efficient retrieval.
Multimedia Content Development
· Collaborate with communications teams, researchers, and stakeholders to define multimedia objectives and storytelling approaches.
· Conceptualize and develop scripts, visual treatments, and multimedia proposals that communicate scientific achievements effectively.
· Adapt multimedia materials for websites, social media platforms, executive presentations, and publications.
· Stay current with emerging multimedia trends, technologies, and production techniques to continuously improve content quality and audience engagement.
· Contribute to digital visibility efforts through proper metadata structuring and content optimization practices.
Project Management and Collaboration
· Manage multiple multimedia projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute projects efficiently.
· Provide technical guidance on multimedia best practices, tools, and workflows.
· Support internal process improvements and standardization initiatives when required.
· Perform additional duties assigned by the direct supervisor in alignment with departmental priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in video production, photography, multimedia storytelling, and post-production editing.
- Strong portfolio showcasing documentary-style content, institutional storytelling, and digital media outputs.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing and production software.
- Solid understanding of branding principles and digital content optimization.
