Assistant Operations & Administration ToGETHER Program*
in Bonn
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract until 30/04/2027. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
The ToGETHER program (Towards Greater Effectiveness and Timeliness in Humanitarian Emergency Response) aims to continue fostering localization of humanitarian action. In this program 40 local/national organizations from eight countries and four international organizations from Germany will continue working in close collaboration.
As Operations & Administration Assistant for the ToGETHER program, you will be a member of the Program Management Unit (PMU). Your tasks will include supporting the ToGETHER Operations & Quality Assurance Manager, the ToGETHER Finance Coordinator and the ToGETHER Program Coordinator in the areas of documentation, compliance monitoring, financial reporting, and reporting within the PMU and to partners. You will thus contribute to the cost-effective and high-quality implementation of the ToGETHER program based on the programme objectives and expected results.
Your responsibilities
- Supporting the monitoring of compliance with partner agreement requirements and quality standards by the ToGETHER consortium partners in accordance with the specifications of Welthungerhilfe and the donor, the German Federal Foreign Office
- Timely archiving of all relevant documents, reports and communications in PROMIS and/or the ToGETHER databases
- Supporting the ToGETHER Program Coordinator in the high-quality and timely preparation and submission of half-yearly donor reports and programme changes
- Supporting the ToGETHER Finance Coordinator in coordinating and managing program finances in accordance with internal and external guidelines, including assisting in the preparation of donor financial reports, funding requests, forecasts, accounting documents and auditing the accounts for the umbrella component of the ToGETHER budget
- Supporting budget adjustments and consolidation throughout the program
- Assisting in the coordination, initial review and quality assurance of consortium partners' financial reports in accordance with Welthungerhilfe and donor guidelines
Your profile
- Completed university degree or comparable training, e.g. in business administration and/or controlling, finance or accounting.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the areas of operational support, finance and administration.
- Experience in support functions in complex, cross-border programmes.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Very good written and spoken English skills.
