The Türkiye Country Management Unit (CMU) is led by a Country Director located in Ankara and supported by Operations Team comprising Operations Manager (OM), two Operations Officers (OOs), and an Operations Analyst – all based in Ankara - and SOO (based in Washington, DC). The IBRD portfolio consists of 38 active operations totaling close to $18bn, a small analytical program and several trust funds. Türkiye in recent years has been among the largest clients of both IFC and MIGA. A new FY24-28 Country Partnership Framework (CPF) will continue support structural development challenges but in addition will also have a strong focus on supporting earthquake relief and reconstruction efforts, with particular attention given to greater private sector participation, inclusion (particularly of women, youth as well as a deepening of the development approach under the vulnerable groups’ support agenda), and long-term sustainability. Deepening of the Bank’s support to Türkiye climate action agenda is planned with the climate adaptation and mitigation measures embedded across the program as a cross-cutting theme.
