PROJECT BACKGROUND

GGGI works with countries around the world, building their capacity and working collaboratively on green growth policies that can impact the lives of millions. The organization partners with countries, multilateral institutions, government bodies, and private sector to help build economies that grow strongly and are more efficient and sustainable in the use of natural resources, less carbon intensive, and more resilient to climate change.

GGGI has a diverse portfolio of programs in developing countries around the world. These in-country programs, together with global products and services, focus on delivering results through an integrated approach of evidence based green growth planning and implementation aligned to countries’ development priorities. The organization also focuses on knowledge development and management activities which build a strong theoretical and empirical basis for green growth, while providing concrete options and guidance for policymakers; as well as building the conditions for public and private green infrastructure investments.

GGGI’s Caribbean portfolio currently includes county programs in the Dominican Republic and Guyana as well a program supporting Eastern Caribbean states managed out of the OECS Commission in St. Lucia. All of GGGI’s Caribbean program provide embedded advisory support to member governments aimed at developing effective policies and strategic plans and mobilizing sustainable finance for implementation of priority plans and projects.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The Finance, Administrative and Procurement consultant will work closely with the FCS team and relevant stakeholders to support office administration tasks. The consultant will assist the team by supporting tasks related to finance, procurement, workshops and related project events and activities (e.g., travel and logistical arrangements), preparing documents for travel requests/claims for workshop participants, coordinating planning and reporting . The consultants will be contracted to perform their duties in a hybrid format.

DELIVERABLES AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

The consultant shall support engagement with in-house and external experts/organisations to promote GGGI’s programs and activities. Where possible, he/she will proactively liaise with staff across different Units, Departments, and Division to facilitate two-way communication and efficient business operations. This includes GGGI teams and staff in operational divisions, including country-based teams, as well as to a limited extent with external counterparts. The general roles and responsibilities of the consultant include:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance, Administrative and Procurement Senior Assistant.

  • Support budget, financial and donor reporting.

  • Support with logistics for project events.

  • Support the development of terms of references (TOR), coordinate scheduling of recruitment interviews, prepare contracts, and liaise onboarding activities.

  • Procurement tasks and support procurement requests from the project teams.

  • Finance tasks and support budget management by reviewing and tracking of budget and people planners, generating financial reports for donor submission and processing procurement.

  • Other tasks as assigned by the Finance, Administration and Procurement Assistant & Caribbean Senior Administrative Associate.

The consultant will be paid monthly until the end of the contract on 30th May 2026.

EXPERTISE REQUIRED
REQUIREMENTS
  • BSC in administration, economics, finance, public administration, management, or any discipline related to the assignment.

  • Academic or professional background in carrying out quantitative analyses (e.g. in the context of budgeting, financial forecasting, project implementation monitoring, etc.)

  • At least two years of professional experience in the above fields.

  • English fluency and communication (speaking, writing and presentation) skills, including publication of written material and ability to produce high-quality visual aids.

  • Working fluency in other languages, particularly French and / or Spanish would be an asset.

  • Experience in financial planning and management.

  • Experience in procurement, and improving operational processes.

  • Experience with donor reporting and enhancing operations to meet donor requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under pressure and to establish and maintain effective work. relationships with people of different backgrounds.

  • Proven project delivery experience, i.e. administering the delivery of results within budget and on time, standardizing processes, working with a team.
