This internship position is with the Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) unit at the RO. Government border and immigration agencies are responsible for facilitating the legitimate movement of people and goods, while also maintaining secure borders, thus ensuring the right balance between facilitation and control. IOM’s IBG work supports Member States in improving the required policy, legislation, operational systems, human resources and administrative and technical structures to manage movements through borders and territories in line with international standards and in support of the human rights of migrants.

Eligibility and Selection:

In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting students and graduates who: 

a) are in their undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the University of Westminster (except those in their first year of undergraduate studies)

b) have an interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities;
