Job Trainee, Regional Operations & Finance

(Temporary assignment, 11 months)

About the position


Based in Rome, Italy and under the direct supervision of the Regional Operations and Finance Manager, the Job Trainee will provide logistical and administrative support to the Europe Regional Operations team with a specific focus on Procurement.



Responsibilities


The specific tasks of the position include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Assist the Procurement team in performing the administrative check of the “Buyer” role in Agresso, by checking compliance of documents and verifying the product code, under guidance.
  • Provide logistic and basic administrative support to tender processes and Procurement Committees.
  • Provide support for the implementation of Supplier Qualification and Evaluation tools.
  • Assist with monitoring outstanding invoices and follow-up with Accounting and Treasury.
  • Assist in updating the database of Sole Source Justifications
  • Assist with Supplier Management (creation of Supplier ID and collection of documents).
  • Assist in updating the database of Traveler profiles and International SOS
  • Archive Procurement documents on SharePoint and ERP



Requirements


Essential Requirements
  • Secondary school education.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages.
  • Working knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills, courtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds.
  • Good skills in personal organization and priority setting.
  • Good client orientation and service approach.
  • Good time management skills and attention to details.


Desirable Requirements

  • Work experience in procurement and/or finance.
  • Work experience in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of a second language.

Terms of employment


This is a job traineeship, and the monthly salary is Euro 1,217. The contract is initially for a period of eleven (11) months. The contract may be renewable based on performance and availability of funds.
