The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.
Background information:
The Microsoft Technologies Support Consultant assists with maintaining, installing, configuring, repairing, and removing hardware and software, as well as resolving incidents reported to the Court Help Desk. They provide first-level support for end-user systems and software, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and ensuring issues are logged and addressed promptly.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The incumbent will work under the management and supervision of the Operations Bridge Manager (OPC), and will perform the following duties and deliverables within the projects assigned:
- Act as the primary contact for tracking, resolving, and logging all IT incidents and service requests, managing them until completion
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, handling hardware/software installations, updates, and removals based on standards
- Deploy, test, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other peripherals, enhancing installation procedures and documentation
- Address hardware and software performance issues, seeking assistance from experts when needed, and document results
- Maintain IT equipment in meeting rooms, support LAN/wireless issues, and participate in hardware/software projects
- Provide technical support in person, and in both official languages of the Court
- The incumbent of this position is expected to recurrently work at UNICC’s clients’ premises in The Hague, The Netherlands
- The consultant is expected to engage with UNICC’s client on a part-time basis (estimated 20h per week)
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
- One (1) or more years of experience in the IT support area
- Experience in providing Microsoft support services to end users following best practice such as ITIL
- Experience in hardware testing on terminals such as computers, tablets and mobile devices
Desirable:
- Strong knowledge of Information Security
Education:
Essential:
- Completion of secondary school
Desirable:
- Post-secondary training/diploma in Computer Science
Languages:
- English: Expert knowledge is required
- French: Intermediate knowledge is required

Compensation:
Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
