Duties and accountabilities:
The Senior IT Program Officer is responsible for enhancing organizational effectiveness by overseeing seamless coordination across ITSTO, supporting leadership decision-making, and ensuring clarity, consistency, and timely execution of priorities. As a subject matter expert in IT Leadership Advisory and Strategy, this role serves as the key focal point for organizational activities—acting as an action orchestrator, information source, clearance provider, and referral point—to maintain alignment, streamline communications, and strengthen operational flow across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordination & Liaison
• Serve as the point person between ITSTO and leadership front offices, advisory teams, and other counterparts & key partners.
• Represent ITSTO in the tactical meeting, distribution list, and other communications channels.
Action Orchestration & Workflow Management
• Act as the air traffic controller, lead the management the flow of work, including the collection, coordination, and reporting of initiatives and updates.
• Oversee following through on actions, decisions, and commitments with leaders and teams.
Leadership Support & Advisory
• Accompany leaders, when appropriate, to surface and distill action items, maintain strategic awareness on organizational and cross-organizational matters.
• Advise and shape leadership decision-making by managing content preparation, enabling rapid review and informed strategic choices.
Communication, Clearance & Quality Assurance
• Steer leadership communications, oversee deadlines, and serve as an information source for stakeholders.
• When appropriate, serve as the final point of clearance for ITSTO materials—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness—and advise or mobilize teams if further consideration or adjustments are required.
Selection Criteria
Education & experience
• Master’s degree with 8 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a central coordination point for senior leadership, including tracking actions, managing follow-ups, and driving closure.
• Proven ability to manage workflow across multiple teams (intake, prioritization, sequencing, and status reporting) in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including representing a unit in cross-functional forums and maintaining effective partnerships with front offices and advisory teams.
• Ability to prepare, synthesize, and quality-check high-visibility leadership materials (briefs, talking points, dashboards) to support timely decision-making.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail to provide communications clearance/quality assurance (accuracy, consistency, alignment with priorities, and deadlines).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex issues and communicate clearly to diverse audiences.
• High sense of urgency, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information and competing priorities under tight timelines.
