Context
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.
UN Women Country Office (CO) is based in Astana, Kazakhstan aims to support to the Government and civil society organizations in the development and implementation of innovative approaches aimed at achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment, specifically targeting increasing women’s political participation and leadership, securing women’s economic rights, strengthening women's involvement in peace building, ending violence against women and a making government budgets and policies more responsive to women's needs.
The Associate on partnership building and private sector engagement for gender equality works with and provides support to the Head of Office in the development and management of partnerships with private sector entities to mobilize resources, expertise, and innovation in support of the organization’s programs.

Task description
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Office, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
- Technical and administrative support to the team in the area of women's economic empowerment in the design and implementation of programs and project related to private sector and Women Economic Principles (WEPs);
- Preparation and update of private sector stakeholder mapping;
- Listing potential foundations, philanthropic organizations to build and strengthen partnerships for GEWE in Kazakhstan;
- Issue all due diligence processes;
- Support in the documentation, development and organization of knowledge, experiences, good practices, and lessons learned;
-Technical, programmatic and financial monitoring of the implementation of related programs and projects;
- Preparation of follow-up and monitoring reports for the projects;
- Coordination with the UN Women communication area for the development of communication materials and articles for the official UN Women bulletin.
