In the Middle East Region, Malteser International (MI) is operating in the context of the humanitarian crisis in Syria since 2012 implementing emergency relief measures in Türkiye, Syria, and Lebanon and since 2014 in Iraq. MI’s programs cover needs mainly in the health sector and are mostly partner implemented. In the Holy Land, MI is currently in the set-up phase of health assistance to affected communities.  

For its envisioned support in the Holy Land, Malteser International is looking for a qualified Senior Logistics & Facility Officer with solid experience in managing procurement, supply chain operations, facility oversight, and basic security coordination. 

As a Senior Logistics & Facility Officer - National Position, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth logistical, infrastructural, and security-related operation of Malteser International’s support in the Holy Land. You will oversee compliant procurement processes, maintain updated inventory and asset systems, supervise facility functionality and service providers, and support implementation of security procedures and incident reporting. You will contribute to reliable supply chains, structured documentation flow, and operational risk mitigation to enable uninterrupted program delivery. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring transparent vendor selection, monitoring supply pipelines, and maintaining full compliance with donor and MI procedures
  • Supervise stock management systems, maintain accurate inventory and fixed asset registers, and ensure all assets are properly recorded, labeled, and regularly verified
  • Ensure the continuous functionality of clinical infrastructure, including power, water, generators, air conditioning, and waste systems, and coordinate timely preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Plan and monitor vehicle movements where applicable, supervise drivers, oversee fuel usage and maintenance, and ensure safe and efficient staff transport in line with security procedures
  • Monitor local security developments, ensure staff adherence to security SOPs and access control measures, maintain incident logs, and support the implementation of contingency plans
  • Maintain complete and audit-ready logistics, facility, and security documentation, prepare regular operational reports, and supervise logistics and support staff to ensure accountability

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or relevant equivalent experience
  • 4 to 5 years of progressive experience in logistics and/or facility management 
  • Proven experience in NGOs and donor-funded projects
  • Strong knowledge of procurement standards, documentation flow, and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing fleet, generators, fuel systems, infrastructure maintenance, and service contracts such as guards, drivers, cleaners. 
  • Demonstrated experience supervising support staff
  • Arabic required; English working knowledge required
