Senior Associate – Electrical

ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic Indian nationals for the position of Senior Associate – Electrical in Farm & Engineering Services under Corporate Services. This position will be based at ICRISAT’s Headquarters in Patancheru, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The Senior Associate – Electrical will be responsible for day‑to‑day electrical engineering execution and support. The role supports electrical infrastructure up to 33 KV systems and captive DG sets, ensures compliance with safety, statutory regulations, and contributes to efficient service delivery through scheduled maintenance and timely execution of work, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Purpose

  • Ensure timely & quality delivery of various works of the Unit. (maintenance, Repairs and substation duties)

  • Ensure the work schedules attended and revert feedback to unit supervisor.

  • Ensure PPM activities done in time and records maintained.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines & protocols.

  • To operate, repair and maintain all the electrical equipment and installations up to 33KV and captive Generators up to 1500KVA.

  • Maintenance of 11KV and 415V overhead lines

  • Connection, testing and commissioning of all types of relevant research equipment’s and utility switchgears like ACBs, VCBs, etc.,

  • Mechanical maintenance and repairs of HVAC, Electro-mechanical equipment like seed processing, seed drying, plant equipment and laundry, kitchen equipment and evaporative coolers

  • Should demonstrate very good team spirit & client orientation.

  • Should maintain good rapport with inter-disciplinary teams in multi-cultural environment.

 Delivery

  • Execute and complete the work schedules on time with high quality & efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • SSC with Diploma or ITI in Electrical + Wireman permit (CEIG) Certification.

  • Possessing a valid RTA, Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is preferable.

  • Minimum 5 years work experience is preferable

  • Should be willing to stay in campus subject to availability.

 General:

This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years), renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position.
