About this position

We are looking for a strategic, data-driven Data Analytics Specialist with strong communication skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the development, adoption, and sustainability of data analytics, data governance, and business intelligence capabilities throughout the Finance Department (FIN).

You will be joining the Finance Data and Analytics (FDA) team, part of the Business Performance Group (BPG) in FIN. FDA is committed to advancing data-driven decision-making across FIN through the development of comprehensive dashboards, automated reporting tools, and analytic insights that enhance financial planning, monitoring, performance management, and operational efficiency. The BPG is responsible for formulating and implementing FIN’s strategic direction, promoting departmental culture and staff engagement, and overseeing internal and external communications. Additionally, BPG manages business performance functions throughout the department, such as budget planning, human capital management, data management and analytics, centralized shared services, and quality assurance, collaborating closely with the CFO and General Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Transform complex financial and operational data into insights that are accessible, actionable, and decision oriented.
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting layouts that clarify trends, correlations, and key drivers of financial data.
  •  Advise on the use of new analytics, visualization, automation, and AI tools, assessing benefits, limitations, and risks.
  • Develop and deliver accessible educational materials and user documentation to support sustainable dashboard adoption and reuse. Such as how-to guides, presentations, data dictionaries, and training sessions.
  • Perform analysis to identify data ownership, along with data production and consumption and assist in the data cleansing and standardization exercises.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of centralized repositories of finance data assets, analytical products, and metadata.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the FIN data governance framework, contributing to assessments, recommendations, and roadmaps.
  • Support the design and execution of initiatives to strengthen data literacy, analytical maturity, and responsible data use across the Finance Department by fostering a collaborative community that promotes shared standards and continuous knowledge exchange among data and analytics practitioners.
  • Support the responsible adoption of advanced analytics and AI tools by embedding data privacy, transparency, and ethical considerations into analytical workflows.
  • Coordinate with Technology teams to ensure data pipelines, databases, and analytical solutions are scalable, efficient, and reusable.

What you'll need

  • Education: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Communications, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Experience: At least four (4) years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data management, or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Demonstrated experience working with Power BI for dashboard development, data modeling, and storytelling.
    • Experience supporting or implementing data governance or data quality initiatives.
    • Experience working with finance, budgeting or accounting data is a strong asset.

Type of contract and duration

  • Staff: International: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
