Senior Business Intelligence Developer * 2 positions

The consultant is expected to deliver high-quality, reliable, and sustainable business intelligence solutions that improve the organization’s capacity to monitor performance, analyze trends, and make evidence-based decisions across Finance, Health, HR, and Education functions.

• Developed, enhanced, and maintained efficient and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that support the timely integration of data from multiple enterprise systems. • Designed and optimized scalable data models and reporting structures that improve data accuracy, consistency, and usability for analysis and decision-making. • Delivered interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that meet business requirements and provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders. • Improved the performance, stability, and reliability of BI solutions, minimizing downtime, reporting delays, and data inconsistencies. • Strengthened data quality assurance processes through validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting mechanisms embedded within BI workflows. • Enabled business users and management to access timely, accurate, and decision-ready information for operational monitoring, planning, and strategic oversight. • Promoted standardization and good practice in business intelligence development, documentation, and support, contributing to the long-term sustainability of EBI services. • Support ongoing improvements in EBI processes, tools, and data quality standards.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related discipline. • Experience in design Reports and Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI connecting to OLAP cubes or any other data sources. • Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, or SSIS. • Experience designing and building cubes for complex business requirements. • Experience in writing DAX /MDX expressions for Microsoft Analysis Services. • Previous experience as an ETL developer. • Clear and familiar understanding of the concepts and best practices of data warehouse. • Experience with SQL Server databases as developer. 1.1. Extent of required relevant experience Minimum 4–6 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data integration, and ETL development. The candidate must have proven experience in designing and maintaining complex dashboards, developing and optimizing data models, and managing data pipelines. Experience supporting multiple business functions or departments, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining reliable BI systems and services is required. Prior experience with Power BI, SQL, and data warehousing environments is highly desirable.

English and Arabic are the working languages of UNRWA. For this assignment, fluency in both Arabic and English are required.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE • The consultancy is based in UNRWA HQA Amman - Jordan. • The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration that is equivalent to A14 Step 1 amounting to JOD 996.42 for every fully completed month. • The duration of the Contract is up to end of 31-12-2026, and the possibility of extension is subject to the availability of funds and continuing need and satisfactory performance. • As part of Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID)and digital workspace the role works under the overall supervision of the coordinate with the EBI team and report to the Head of Data Management and in coordination with EBI team.
