JOB TITLE: Global Influencer Programme Manager

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Coordinator of the Goodwill Ambassador Programme, the Global Influencer Programme Manager will help lead day-to-day management and be responsible for regular operations of WFP’s influencer program, including Goodwill Ambassadors of all levels, social media influencers and content creators. In addition, the Global Influencer Programme Manager will work with Global HQ and Country Office colleagues when appropriate, to develop and execute strategic outreach that leverages influencers around WFP priority narratives to reinforce organizational objectives and mobilize stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate Influencer Engagement: Help lead WFP’s Goodwill Ambassador (GWA) programme and influencer activities, coordinating processes globally with focal points to maintain outreach, engagement, and appointment processes in line with WFP and UN policies. Foster relationships with GWAs, Advocates, High-Level Supporters, celebrities, and digital creators to support WFP’s strategic objectives.
- Strategic Guidance and Reporting: Advise WFP offices and teams on redefined strategic focus for WFP influencer engagement guided by corporate priorities and goals. Regularly report and analyse activities for COM and key stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and performance measurement.
- Develop Tools and Resources: Create and maintain influencer engagement resources, including toolkits, timelines, briefings, and presentations, to support teams in executing campaigns and initiatives effectively.
- Capacity Enhancement: Support the development of, and embed AI capabilities to simplify the GWA relationship management. Rollout and train GWA focal points to take full advantage of technologies.
- Campaign and Partnership Development: Identify, develop and steward partnerships with celebrities and influencers to enhance key initiatives and campaigns, keeping target audience segments in mind. Pursue integrated planning with stakeholders including WFPUSA, the Partnerships and Innovation Department, and others.
- Trend Analysis and Innovation: Monitor media and entertainment trends in key markets and conduct analysis of emerging influencer marketing best practices. Present findings to inspire creative approaches and innovation within WFP and integrate world hunger advocacy into pop culture conversations.
- Risk Assessment Support: Provide informal reputation risk assessment and strategic input to Global HQ and Country Offices engaging in influencer outreach.
- Internal Communications: Support leadership communication
- Any other duties as assigned
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
- Facilitate processes and systems, including establishing AI technology, that enables acquisition and leveraging of influencers and GWAs for WFP.
- Create and organize a skills-sharing and knowledge training program that will help lend expertise and educate colleagues in various areas of influencer marketing, including outreach, relationship management and performance analysis.
- Produce a portfolio of influencer activities, segmented by campaign or initiative, including relevant measurement against smart KPIs and constructive learnings.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Advanced University degree in Branding, Communications, Marketing or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.
Experience: At least 6 years postgraduate progressively responsible professional experience.
Knowledge & skills:
- Ideally, experience in influencer marketing and engagement;
- Experience working with celebrities and the understanding;
- Effective writing skills;
- Well organized and detail oriented;
- Ability to handle a large volume of work and to meet strict deadlines.
Languages: Spoken and written English essential. Second UN language is desirable.
