About the Country/Multi-Country Office
Based in Peru, the Andean Multi-Country Office (ANMCO) also oversees UNOPS operations in Ecuador and Colombia. In both Peru and Ecuador, UNOPS primarily provides technical assistance to strengthen local government capacities and improve public service delivery. Active in Peru since 1995, UNOPS has supported a wide array of initiatives across sectors such as health, education, justice, governance, environment, transportation, agriculture, and recreation—contributing to public sector modernization and the efficient, transparent use of public resources. Over the past 32 years, this collaboration has mobilized nearly USD 4 billion in public investments, delivering estimated savings of 20% and supporting progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals. In Ecuador, UNOPS works with national partners to enhance access to essential services, with a focus on health, urban mobility, and sustainable development, through public infrastructure modernization and the strategic procurement of goods and services.
Job Specific Context
El proyecto “Fortalecimiento de la Capacidad Resolutiva de los Servicios de Salud del Hospital Santiago Apóstol de Utcubamba – DIRESA – Amazonas, CUI 2094709”, financiado por el Gobierno Regional de Amazonas, tiene como propósito fortalecer integralmente los servicios de salud para la población de la Región Amazonas, contribuyendo al cierre de brechas en infraestructura sanitaria y al cumplimiento de la Agenda 2030.
El/la Asociado/a Sénior de Comunicaciones trabajará en estrecha colaboración con los equipos de proyecto de UNOPS en Perú, apoyando la implementación de estrategias de comunicación efectivas y adaptadas a las comunidades locales. Este puesto requiere la capacidad de desplazarse a las zonas de los proyectos, interactuar con poblaciones rurales y sectores vulnerables, y desarrollar piezas de comunicación que promuevan el desarrollo y la inclusión.
Role Purpose
El/la Asociado/a Sénior de Comunicaciones es responsable de la planificación, implementación y seguimiento de las estrategias de comunicación de los proyectos de UNOPS en Perú, asegurando que la información sea accesible, relevante y culturalmente apropiada para las comunidades locales. El/la Asociado/a Sénior de Comunicaciones también apoya la gestión de la imagen pública de UNOPS y la difusión de los resultados de los proyectos.

Se requiere título a nivel secundario.
La exigencia a un título universitario o de maestría podrá compensarse por años adicionales de experiencia laboral.

Deseable tener un título universitario o maestría, preferentemente en comunicación social, periodismo o carreras afines.
Experience Requirements
Requerido
Entre 3 y 7 años de experiencia (dependiendo del grado académico) comprobada de trabajo en comunicaciones con comunidades rurales.
Se requiere que el/la consultor/a se pueda desplazar a las zonas de los proyectos de UNOPS en el Perú.
Experiencia de al menos dos años en departamentos de comunicación e información pública o en medios de comunicación.
Deseado
Experiencia previa de trabajo en organismos gubernamentales, la cooperación internacional, el Sistema de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) y/o entidades oficiales.
Experiencia en el campo de comunicación para el desarrollo, trabajo comunitario u otro relacionado con el contacto con poblaciones rurales y sectores vulnerables.
Experiencia en la elaboración y desarrollo de piezas de comunicación e información (digital, escritas, radiales, audiovisuales, u otros).
Experiencia de trabajo en grupo y bajo presión.
