Department Context: 
ITS Operations and Country Engagement Department (ITSOE) delivers innovative products and services to frontline staff working on over 6,000 projects throughout every Region and Global Practice. Our teams support and enable Bank priorities, boost operations efficiency and effectiveness, and facilitate Operational knowledge discovery. Our delivery model leverages global expertise, design and architecture, leading technology, and robust processes to deliver business solutions that ensure value for money. 
Unit Context: 
The Operations Effectiveness unit (ITSEF), leads efforts to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making in Bank’s Operations. The Knowledge for operations program within the unit support the implementation of the Knowledge 360 platform and sector agents. The team is looking for a Scrum Master. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in enabling the World Bank’s Knowledge Agenda by ensuring the effective delivery of AI-driven, knowledge-centric products and platforms. They act as a servant leader and coach to the Knowledge Agile teams working on Knowledge 360 and ensuring alignment with SAFe principles and the broader Knowledge Bank vision. 
This role focuses on helping teams deliver high-quality, trusted, and scalable knowledge solutions that empower operational staff, TTLs, and sector experts to access, synthesize, and apply institutional knowledge more effectively. 
Duties and accountabilities: 
• Coaching the Agile Team
- Helps teams self-organize, self-manage, and deliver via effective Lean-Agile methods

- Fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement

- Facilitates Agile/SAFe ceremonies, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across teams
• Team Performance Improvement
- Monitors team progress and utilizes metrics to highlight areas for enhancement

- Helps identify and resolve impediments that affect the Agile team's productivity

- Facilitates cross-team collaboration to improve the performance of the Agile Team
• Program Increment (PI) Planning Facilitation
- Guides the preparation process for PI planning, and drafts PI plans in coordination with the Agile team

- Assists the product owner with refining and prioritizing the product backlog, aligning team efforts with strategic objectives

- Identifies, tracks, and manages dependencies to ensure sprints are executed as planned

Selection Criteria

• Typically requires a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience or a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• SAFe Scrum Master certification
