Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC is currently looking for a Information Management Officer in Kyiv.
About the job
Information Management Officer responsible for the management, analysis and sharing of data related to program activities as well as DRC’s population of concern, with the aim to provide reliable, quality and comprehensive information that supports the development of an evidence-based humanitarian response.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Development of effective data collection tools and methodologies, as well as the design and management of database systems for data management and analysis.
- Maintenance and administration of the DRC beneficiary database.
- Implementation of functional features and user interfaces, such as dashboards and databases.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve the product on their feedback.
- Conduct data analysis and identify pertinent variables, trends, and patterns providing valuable
- insights for informed decision-making.
- Support Team Leaders in technical application of the database in instances where the data entry is undertaken by programme staff.
- Support programme colleagues in case of any technical difficulties or questions regarding the database and IM system; provide trainings for colleagues on how to use IM system.
- Generate monitoring reports and perform backup operations; contribute to the formatting and development of documents regarding collected data.
- Perform data quality checks of the database on a weekly basis, reporting any issues and changes to the Information Management Manager.
- Ensure information regarding beneficiaries is consolidated into one database and is up-to-date; identify missing data and follow up with Team Leaders.
- Support in providing beneficiary lists and data for monitoring activities, including Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and evaluation reports.
- Apply data program techniques and procedures.
- In line with DRC’s Information Management Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), keep all data protected and confidential.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 2 years of experience in developing data collection and analysis tools within the Esri / ArcGIS Online environment. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- University degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Social Sciences or a relevant field.
- Knowledge of KoBo, Survey123, or other data collection applications.
- Advanced level of English language proficiency; Fluency in Ukrainian.
- Confident user in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Proven abilities in data collection, compilation, analysis and reporting with ability to write in a clear and concise manner and effective oral communication.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Dashboard and Experience Builder is a key requirement.
Desirable
- Experience in database management and SQL database administration.
- Knowledge and understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) cycle.

- Contract length: 3-month probation period with the possibility of extension till 31st December 2026 depends on performance.
