Department Context:
ITS Operations and Country Engagement Department (ITSOE) delivers innovative products and services to frontline staff working on over 6,000 projects throughout every Region and Global Practice. Our teams support and enable Bank priorities, boost operations efficiency and effectiveness, and facilitate Operational knowledge discovery. Our delivery model leverages global expertise, design and architecture, leading technology, and robust processes to deliver business solutions that ensure value for money.
Unit Context:
The Operations Effectiveness unit (ITSEF), leads efforts to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making in Bank’s Operations. The Knowledge for operations program within the unit support the implementation of the Knowledge 360 platform and sector agents. The team is looking for a Product Analyst. The Product Analyst will play a critical role in enabling the World Bank’s Knowledge Agenda by ensuring the effective delivery of AI-driven, knowledge-centric products and platforms. 
Duties and accountabilities:
• Collects, refines, and documents business requirements with a focus on AI solutioning, including clear acceptance and evaluation criteria tailored to AI outputs. 

• Drives fast cycle delivery of AI-enabled products, ensuring requirements are actionable, lightweight, and optimized for rapid experimentation and deployment.  

• Ensures strong alignment between business needs and AI solution design, enabling high value outcomes with minimal time-to-delivery.

• Facilitates rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and accelerated rollouts—shepherding solutions from MVP to production. 

• Identifies and articulates high impact opportunities for AI intervention, prioritizing use cases that deliver fast measurable benefits.

• Captures concise, fit-for-purpose functional and technical specifications to support speedy development of Rapid AI Solutions.

• Gathers and synthesizes user requirements quickly and accurately through focused interviews, design workshops, and rapid discovery sessions. 

• Supports backlog prioritization based on value, feasibility, and speed-to-impact, ensuring the Rapid AI pipeline remains efficient and outcomes focused.

• Collaborates closely with business and technical stakeholders to validate AI opportunities and streamline processes for rapid adoption of AI-powered capabilities. 

• Contributes to sprint planning, refinement, and reviews, ensuring each increment supports fast-paced AI delivery goals. 

• Develops and executes lean test plans emphasizing rapid verification, model output validation, and continuous quality improvement. 

• Supports end-to-end testing and validation of AI systems and enhancements, ensuring outcomes are reliable, explainable, and aligned with intended business value.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering AI solutions - in complex, largescale environments, with a strong understanding of practical constraints, operational realities, and deployment considerations.

• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable, high impact AI-enabled product features, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and measurable value.

• Recommended certifications: IIBA Certified Business Requirements Analysis Professional (IIBA CBAP) or SAFe Practitioner (SP) to date knowledge of modern AI practices. 

Defining Business Requirements 

• Helps collect and document business requirements, including establishing acceptance and evaluation criteria 

• Supports the definition of configuration specifications and business requirements to ensure alignment with roadmap objectives 

• Gathers and documents user requirements through interviews, workshops, and surveys 

Managing the Product Roadmap 

• Helps design, document, and maintain system processes that align with business goals, roadmaps, and desired outcomes 

• Drafts and maintains documentation, including business process flows and user stories 

• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify opportunities for product improvements and efficiency gains 

System Testing 

• Assists in the development and execution of test plans to ensure quality deliverables 

• Supports the testing and validation of new systems and enhancements to ensure alignment with business needs
